Four people are facing charges after officers with the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service took cocaine, methamphetamine and more off the streets in a recent bust.

NAPS says officers conducted a traffic stop in Constance Lake First Nation on March 1 and found 21 grams of cocaine, 6 grams of methamphetamine, 260 morphine pills and $4,000 of cash.

As a result, a 42-year-old Thunder Bay man is facing charges of: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x4, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Fail to Comply with Release Order, Personation with Intent to Avoid Arrest.

The 42-year-old has been remanded into custody.

A 38-year-old Geraldton man is facing charges of: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3.

A 25-year-old woman from Nakina is facing charges of: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3.

The two were both released on an Undertaking with conditions and are set to appear in court in early May.

And a 50-year-old man from Constance Lake First Nation is facing charges of: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x4, Fail to Comply with Release Order x3.

The Constance Lake member was held for a bail hearing and was released with conditions. He is set to appear in court later this month in Hearst.
