Police have arrested the man at the centre of the emergency alert in the Colby Village area.

An emergency alert has been issued as police look for a man with a knife in the Colby Village area, near Cole Harbour/Dartmouth.

They are asking people in the Greenborough Crescent area to stay inside.

Police say he is white, bald head and has a beard.

He may not have a shirt.
