Four people are facing charges after a massive drug bust in the Maritimes.
Police arrested the suspects at bus stations in PEI and Nova Scotia in mid-January and then started searching homes in the two provinces.
In total, investigators seized 1.3 kilos of coke, two kilos of MDMA, about 4,000 pills and $45,000 in cash.
The suspects include three men and one woman and range in age from 27 to 53 years-old.
The anticipated charges include:
- 53-year-old man from Murray Harbour, PEI, is expected to be charged with trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and conspiracy to commit the indictable offence of trafficking a controlled substance.
- 41-year-old man from Lower Montague, P.E.I., is expected to be charged with conspiracy to commit the indictable offence of trafficking a controlled substance.
- 28-year-old Halifax man is expected to be charged with trafficking a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, conspiracy to commit the indictable offence of trafficking a controlled substance, and possession of property obtained by crime.
- 27-year-old woman from Halifax is expected to be charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, conspiracy to commit the indictable offence of trafficking a controlled substance, and possession of property obtained by crime.
Police are searching for another man believed to be connected to their investigation.
