Another busy week on area roadway for OPP in the Rainy River District.

Almost half of all occurrences recorded by police in the past week related to activity on the roads.

There were fifteen motor vehicle accidents.

OPP also conducted seven Ride Checks, leading to three impaired driving charges.

There were five other traffic complaints and four calls related to a hazard on the road.

In total, there were 225 calls for service.

This includes seven domestic dispute cases, five thefts and three animal complaints.

OPP also laid 22 charges under the Criminal Code and 42 others under the Highway Traffic Act.
