A man was arrested in downtown Halifax for carrying weapons, including an axe.
Just before 12:30pm on Saturday afternoon, crews were on Barrington Street because of a planned demonstration.
There they noticed a man carrying weapons including an axe, collapsible baton, and brass knuckles.
The 44-year-old was arrested, after a bit of a struggle and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
The charges:
Assaulting a peace officer
Possession of a prohibited weapon
Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
Carrying a weapon while at a public meeting
Mischief
Resisting arrest (x2)
