A fun event for the whole family on Heritage Day in Yarmouth.

At 10 a.m. Monday, the Yarmouth County Community Health Board and Yarmouth Recreation will host the annual Heritage Day Fun Walk.

Organizer Tony Dorrian says the walk will start at the Maple Grove parking lot in Hebron.

“We’re going to walk along the sidewalk, and all the way to the Red and White in Dayton along the new sidewalk. It’s a great way to get exercise with family and friends,” said Dorrian.

A reception will follow at the Rotary Community Centre, with snacks, cider and door prizes.

There will also be a celebration of Mi’kmaq poet Rita Joe.
