The NorWOSSA “A” division court sport finals are underway in Rainy River.

In the first game of the day, the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints  junior girls volleyball teams got by the Red Lake Rams three sets to two to win gold.

In the final set, the Saints won 15-10.

The host Rainy River Owls senior girls volleyball team has won the NorWOSSA gold medal, downing the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints in three straight sets, 25-21- 25-21 and 25-17.

Meanwhile, the Red Lake Rams took gold in the junior boys basketball final.

The Rams got by the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints 59-45.

In the final game of the day, the Saints senior boys basketball team is taking on the Northern Lights Voyageurs in the gold medal game.

At halftime, TA leads the Voyageurs 35-22.

Tomorrow, Dryden is hosting the “AA” championships featuring Sioux North, Dryden, Beaver Brae and Fort Frances.
