Planned Power Outage In Hampton

By Brad Perry Feb 15, 2023 | 9:07 AM

Some residents in the Hampton area will be spending part of their day Wednesday with no power.

A planned power outage will take place between 9:30 a.m. and approximately 3:30 p.m.

According to the town, the outage will affect about 300 customers in the Hampton/Bloomfield/Passkeag area as crews replace power poles at the corner of Law Avenue.

Hampton EMO will open a warming centre at the Lighthouse River Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Residents will be able to warm up, charge their electronics and use the washrooms.

The library at the centre will be open for its regular Wednesday hours from 2 to 4:30 p.m. for anyone who would like access to the facility at that time.

During the work, Law Avenue will be closed from Main Street to Everett Street. Traffic will be detoured from Everett Street down Crawford Street.
