Fort Frances Muskies girls’ hockey team was shut out by the Dryden Eagles in Dryden Tuesday night 4-0.

The loss means a second-place finish for the Muskies.

The playoffs are scheduled to begin next week.

NorWOSSA A playoffs in boys basketball and girls volleyball take place in Rainy River today.

Atikokan’s Northern Lakes School takes on Kenora’s St. Thomas Aquinas Saints in the semi-final of boys basketball, with the winner facing Red Lake in the final tomorrow.

Northern Lakes play Ignace in the senior boys’ basketball semi, with the winner advancing to the final against the Saints.

Northern Lakes also plays a semi-final game in junior girls’ volleyball against Red Lake. The winner moves to the final against St. Thomas Aquinas.

The Rainy River Owls are a finalist in senior girl volleyball by virtue of their first place finish in the regular season.

Their final goes tomorrow.
