Platinum Jubilee Medals have been given to three Town of Yarmouth employees.

Parks Supervisor Todd Muise, Administrative Assistant Judy Durkee and Christina Blake, D.A. with the Yarmouth Town RCMP all received the Queen Elizabeth the Second medals during council last week.

Muise, a veteran and member of the Royal Canadian Legion began the Town Memorial Banner Program.

Durkee and her husband operate an instrument library called ‘The Music Room’ for the public.

Blake is a long time volunteer with the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation, Seafest, Children’s Wish Foundation and more.

Mayor Pam Mood says they all give their time willingly and their ideas are matched with action.

She says they all make life better for the community.
