Study Underway to Determine the Needs of Nova Scotia Seniors

Feb 13, 2023 | 12:00 PM

The ACTing Collectively Research Project is working to determine how to improve the lives of seniors.

The project is being conducted by Dalhousie University researchers and they will conduct their study in Victoria County, The Cape Breton Regional Municipality, and the Municipality of the County of Richmond.

Using the Age Care Technologies Tool, they will assess the needs of seniors living in these communities and try to determine the types of resources available to them and to determine if the resources are accessible. The study will also work to find out the types of services that are missing in their respective communities.

They are planning to interview seniors in each community as they conduct their research.  Seniors in Richmond County interested in being interviewed are asked to contact Jennifer at 902- 587-2800 extension 4 or email jennifertanner.dkmchc@gmail.com.

Interested seniors in the CBRM can call Sheila at 902-578-8146 or email cbrmsafeseniors@gmail.com

If you are a senior living in Victoria County, you can call Cassandra at 902-295-3672 or email seniorssafety@VictoriaCounty.ca
