NB Liquor and Cannabis NB both reported an increase in sales during the third quarter.

Unaudited results for the period between Oct. 3, 2022, and Jan. 1, 2023, were recently released.

Sales at NB Liquor were up 1.8 per cent on a year-over-year basis to $137.7 million.

The Crown corporation reported $54 million in net income, an increase of 9.2 per cent.

According to the figures, sales of wine, spirits, beer, coolers and cider were all up.

Beer sales, however, saw the biggest increase at $1.1 million, up 2.1 per cent.

NB Liquor reported 1.9 million transactions during the quarter with an average ticket size of $44.54.

Meanwhile, Cannabis NB saw its sales jump five per cent last quarter to $21.6 million.

Net income jumped a whopping 21.5 per cent to $4.8 million, according to the unaudited figures.

Sales of accessories, edibles, topicals and concentrates increased by a combined $2.1 million.

That helped offset a $1 million drop in sales of dried flower and extract, according to the Crown corporation.

Cannabis NB reported 361,000 transactions averaging nearly $60 each.
