To help residents in Halifax during this brief cold snap, The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) will be out helping people in need.

They will be parked on 1531 Grafton street with hot beverages and emotional support from 730pm to 1030pm tonight and 930am-330pm tomorrow.

A second vehicle will be out travelling the streets responding to areas most in need.

The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services would like to acknowledge the selfless efforts of its dedicated volunteers who are making this response possible. Their hard work and commitment to serving those in need during these challenging times are invaluable to the success of this mission. The Salvation Army is grateful for their tireless support and would like to encourage the public to consider volunteering and making a difference in their community.

They encourage to stay safe and inside, if you can.
