The Shelburne County Arena has been nominated for Kraft Hockeyville.

The arena opened late this season because of an issue with the chiller, and is in need of repairs.

Local parent Meghan Luis began the process, and now is looking to the community to rally support.

“Right now it’s crucial to get all the stories and engagement with them until February 19th, this is part of the rally stage,” says Luis.

The top four will be chosen on that date.

The eventual winner will receive 250-thousand dollars and get to host an NHL preseason game in September.

Luis says winning would help the community a lot.

“The arena starting its season late this year was my reason for getting involved in this and nominating it for a makeover.”

People are invited to share their stories and photos with Kraft Hockeyville.

In 2012, Yarmouth Mariners Centre finished fourth in Kraft Hockeyville voting.
