The Town of Riverview is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2023 and the party will last all year.

Parks and recreation director David Shae said community groups and organizations are being urged to help celebrate.

“Anyone wishing to participate in some way in terms of running an event for the 50th anniversary celebrations this year are welcome to submit a grant application through an online portal on the town website,” noted Shae.

“Each of the town’s major festivals will see one or two kinds of flagship or showcase events hosted in conjunction with the 50th.”

Shae added the deadline for grant applications in March, April and May will close on February 20 while the deadline is May 21 for the rest of the year.
