Parliament is in session for the first time this year.

The cost of living and inflation, along with healthcare will be hot topics.

West Nova Conservative MP Chris d’Entremont says they need to have fair discussions on the future of healthcare.

“As the provinces are being called into Ottawa to talk about future funding in healthcare, it’s going to be interesting to see exactly what that’s going to look like,” says d’Entremont.

The Deputy Speaker of the House says the Conservatives will also focus on the Liberals’ Bill C-21, which is set to ban certain types of firearms.

d’Entremont says it won’t stop gun crime in Canada, and it will only punish law-abiding gun owners.

“We need to get a clarification on what the Liberals plan to do with that Bill.”

d’Entremont says Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre did well in his first Question Period yesterday.

He says Prime Minister Justin Trudeau deflected a lot of criticism, and there will continue to be a lot of back-and-forth on issues that matter to Canadians.
