Fire crews spent a part of the afternoon in downtown Halifax after smoke could be seen coming from a popular pub.
Firefighters were called to the Stubborn Goat Gastropub on Grafton Street just before 3 p.m.
The fire broke out in the kitchen area.

No word on the severity of the fire or damage to the pub at this stage but all staff were able to get out safely.
The Stubborn Goat does not open until 5 p.m. so no customers would have been inside.
