High winds and heavy rain pounding our province today.
As of 3 p.m, over 40-thousand are without power, as wind gusts get up to 100 kilometres an hour.
Some of the largest outages are in Halifax, Hants County and Mahone Bay.
Rain and wind warnings are being lifted in some spots, like Southwestern Nova Scotia.
There are reports of trees and power lines down on roads in some areas.
Some schools were forced to close early due to power outages.
Conditions are expected to improve through the evening.
With wind warnings across the province, customers are encouraged to keep our information close.
