A collision involving a school bus at the intersection of High and Van Norman on Jan 20, 2023

Officials with Student Transportation Services of Thunder Bay say there were no injuries this afternoon when a school bus and passenger vehicle collided at the intersection of Van Norman and High Streets.

The consortium confirmed there were 19 students on board at the time of the incident.

No word on if any charges will be laid or if an investigation by Thunder Bay Police is underway.

The intersection has since been cleared.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the intersection of Van Norman and High Streets following a collision involving a school bus.

Few details are available but callers to our news room say a passenger vehicle was also involved in the incident.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and Superior North EMS are on scene, no word on if any children were on the bus at the time of the collision nor if there are any injuries to report.
