A pair of goals from Klyde Laplante and Teagan Wrolstad paced the Fort Frances Muskies boys’ hockey team to an 8-3 win over the visiting Lake of the Woods Bears at the Ice for Kids Arena.

Callum McCormick, Quinton Lapage, Alex Booth and Aiden Jean scored the other goals.

The Muskies scored five times in the first period and held a 6-0 edge going into the final frame.

The home side outshot the visitors 44-22.

On the courts, Northern Lakes split NorWOSSA Division A games with Red Lake.

Northern Lakes senior boys’ basketball team beat the Rams 41-38, while their junior girls’ volleyball team swept their opponents in two straight games.

The senior girls’ volleyball squad lost to Red Lake in five games.

The International Falls Broncos varsity boys basketball team lost to Warroad 101-44.

Hendrix Torgerson led the Broncos in scoring with 12 points.
