***UPDATE***

Three men from the GTA have been arrested following a double shooting Tuesday evening at a an Ambrose Street residence.

Police say the shooting took place at the home where one of the victims was located, the other traveled to the Thunder Bay Casino, after being shot.

Thunder Bay Police say after the shooting the three men were seen on video boarding a Northland bus.

In coordination with the OPP and Sault Ste. Marie Police the three suspects were arrested when tactical officers pulled the bus over at a gas station 14 km north of Sault Ste. Marie.

One suspect was armed with a loaded firearm and was wearing body armour, while a second suspect threw a loaded firearm on the bus.

Despite there being six other people on the bus during the take down, no injuries have been reported.

Staff Sergeant Jason Rybak says the suspects have not been cooperative and are refusing to identify themselves, however he notes one was on release conditions to not be in Thunder Bay.

The investigation is still in its early stages but Rybak says it is connected to the illicit drug trade,

“I would suggest its along the home takeover lines, again our investigation will show that, but its the same story that we’ve talked about regarding the GTA traffickers.”

Police say it will take a few days for some of the warrants to search the home as the priority in this case was to catch the suspects.

All three are being flown back to the city on an OPP aircraft.

No further details on the status of the victims have been released.
