A man has been arrested and numerous weapons seized in Cole Harbour after an accidental 911 call.

Last night at around 8:30pm, RCMP in a news release, say they received what was reported as an accidental call to 911 on Astral Drive.

They went to the home to confirm there was no emergency, but upon arriving, spoke with a man and woman who had a dispute.

The home was damaged with firearms out in the open, not safely stored.

They seized four handguns, numerous long guns, including a carbine, loaded magazines, grenades, two swords, a spear, multiple knives and ammunition.

The charges include:

Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon;
Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized;
Unsafe Storage of a Firearm;
Mischief

The man was safely arrested and held in custody overnight and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial today.
