The suspicious death in Five Islands on Monday night has been ruled a homicide
Just after 7pm Colchester County and Cumberland County RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Sandy Pont Hill Lane and Wharf Rd
They then located a woman deceased in a home on Sandy Point Hill Lane, deemed suspicious
A suspect was arrested in Springhill but has since been released
Investigators remain on scene and anyone with information is asked to contact police or crime stoppers
