Police are investigating a couple of robberies in downtown Halifax.

Yesterday, around 520pm and 545pm officers responded to two separate robberies on Brunswick St and Spring Garden Rd.

In both cases, two men, one with a knife and firearm, approached a man not known to them, and demanded his property.

The suspects fled on foot both times empty handed.

The suspect with weapons is described as Indigenous, in his 30’s, around 5’9”, wearing a tall dark puffy jacket, dark pants, and a yellow backpack.

The second suspect is described as white, with a beard, wearing a brown winter jacket, brown pants carrying a red bag.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
