The City of Moncton has decided to celebrate the winter season with a new festival next month.

PolarFest will be held on Family Day weekend, February 18-20, and activities for all ages are planned at Centennial Park.

Participants can race down the sliding hill, lace up their skates or enjoy snowshoeing or cross-country skiing.

Scouts Canada will be featuring snow sculpting and ice sculpting demonstrations will also be available.

Tasty treats will be on hand from various food vendors.
