Friends and family are gathered to continue the search for missing person Alex Lawson.

The last confirmed sighting of the 65 year old man was on Nov. 27, 2022 along Madeline Street. With police receiving tips, they haven’t been able to confirm other sightings of Lawson.

Kim Lawson, Alex’s daughter, said in a prepared statement that her father is known to frequent various parts of the city on foot.

Alex is described as an Indigenous man standing about 5’6” tall with a medium build. He has long, straight grey hair, brown eyes, and usually sports facial hair.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a light-coloured North Face puffer jacket with a dark upper area, blue jeans and black shoes.

Thunder Bay Police have been coordinating and sharing information with the volunteer searchers,
