Charges have been laid following a drug trafficking investigation in Moncton.
Codiac RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit began investigating in August 2022.
Two people of interest were identified in October and a 38-year-old man was arrested in the Dieppe area.
Search warrants were subsequently obtained for a vehicle and a hotel room. During the searches, police seized quantities of crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone, benzimidazole pills, and money.
A 38-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, who are both from Moncton are now facing charges of:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking hydromorphone
The man is scheduled to return to court next week.
