Ontario Provincial Police are reporting that the collision in Dorion has claimed a life.

Around the dinner hour that emergency services were called to a vehicle collision on Hwy 11-17 near Dorion Loop Road.

Two pick-up trucks had collided, with one driver declared dead at the scene while two others had to be extricated from the vehicles. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Neighbouring fire departments assisted at the scene while the area was closed for several hours last night.

The deceased has been identified as Haydn CHARBONNEAU, 18 years, of South Porcupine Ontario.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision has been initiated by the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit in conjunction with the OPP Forensic Identification Unit.
