Halifax Police say the man that died during a home invasion in Herring Cove last week, was fatally shot.
At least three individuals invaded a home on January 4th at around 820pm on the 400 block of Herring Cove Rd.
There was an altercation between the invaders and the occupants of the home, resulting in the death of a 33-year-old man. At least one of the invaders had a firearm.
After an autopsy, by The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service, the death has been ruled a homicide.
The other suspects were dressed in dark clothing and fled the area in a vehicle.
Of those arrested, a 21-year-old man is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Investigators do not believe this to be a random incident and anyone with information is asked to call police.
