A high-risk sex offender formerly living in Yarmouth County has pled guilty to Criminal Harassment and has left Canada according to the RCMP.

Allen William Desrosiers was arrested last month in Yarmouth on Criminal Harassment charges in relation to two incidents of stalking in the area.

On Wednesday, he was ordered by the court to surrender his Canadian passport and return to the United States.

The RCMP say Desrosiers left the country yesterday and cannot return for at least five years without the permission of the Nova Scotia Provincial Court.

He had been living in Rockville, Yarmouth County after serving a 23-year prison sentence in the U.S. on charges including kidnapping, rape, assault and battery.
