Thunder Bay Police Service is asking the public for help locating the missing person Joseph Alexander Lawson.

Commonly known as Alex, the 65 year old Indigenous man is known to frequent various parts of the city.

His last confirmed sighting was on Nov. 27, 2022, along Madeline Street. There have been other reported sightings of him, but they haven’t been verified by police.

Alex’s family has grown increasingly worried about his well-being and hopes to locate him soon.

He is described as an Indigenous man standing about 5’6” tall with a medium build. He has long, straight grey hair, brown eyes, and usually sports facial hair.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a light-coloured North Face puffer jacket with a dark upper area, blue jeans and black shoes.
