Cascabowl’s Fresh Mexican Cantina will call Saint John’s Fairville Crossing home in the coming months.

“Coming Soon” posters adorn the windows of the 626 Fairville Boulevard location, which is next to the Starbucks and across the street from the Lancaster Mall. There has been no confirmation on the location’s opening date but it looks like it will be in early 2023.

The taco and burrito chain started in 2020 with locations in Waterloo and Peterborough, Ontario. It also has a New Brunswick location, in Moncton, on Elmwood Drive.

Promising “the original Mexican recipe,” Cascabowl’s also features quesadillas, burrito bowls, nacho bowls, and tortilla bowls. It offers online ordering and catering options. Churros, brownies and authentic Jarritos soft drinks will also be available.

Cascabowl’s joins recently opened Taco Boyz at East Point Shopping, Uptown’s El Patron Taco Truck, Toro Taco in Market Square, Costa Nachos off Black River Road, and Taco Bell in Forest Hills, for Mexican fare options in the Port City.

The 1000-square-foot location is in the recently opened Fairville Crossing open-air shopping centre, which was completed in 2021. There is still another commercial space available for lease in the building.

Cascabowl’s owners did not respond to Huddle’s interview requests before our publication deadline.
