Those relying on the bus in Yarmouth will have to find another way around for now.

The town announced on Friday that their transit service is down until further notice due to unforeseen circumstances.

Mayor Pam Mood says it’s a mechanical issue.

“Trying to find the parts for busses, they don’t come easily. But we’ve ordered the parts, and as soon as they come in, we’ll have it up and running as soon as we possibly can,” says Mood.

The service was paused last Thursday.

Mood says transit is great for residents.

“They’re on the road every single day, and when something goes wrong, we’re in trouble. But we have put it on the table to get more busses, so we’ll see what happens there.”

There is no timeline on when the repairs will be made.
