Halifax Regional Police is investigating the death of a 31-year-old man.

At approximately 1:15 a.m. on Saturday morning, police responded to a report of an altercation involving several people on Brunswick Street in Halifax.

Officers found the man on the sidewalk, just east of Brunswick Street on Prince Street.

He was take to the QEII and later passed away.

Members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating and have one man in custody.

Police are not looking for any additional suspects at this time, but are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident get in touch.
