They bent, but they didn’t break.

The Yarmouth Mariners had a victorious return to the Fishtank last night, defeating Valley 3-2.

All of Yarmouth’s goals came in the first period, as Alex Roode, Reilly Mayne and Van Sawlor scored.

The Wildcats replied with two goals in the second period, but goalie Keegan Warren shut the door the rest of the way.

Yarmouth outshot Valley 46-29, and bumped their lead over Truro for first overall in the MHL to three points.

The Mariners finish the first half with a game in Amherst tomorrow night.
