Man Charged After Report Of Gunshot In Quispamsis

A man in his 20s is facing firearms and drug-related offences after a weekend incident in Quispamsis.

The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force responded to a call of a possible gunshot in the Ashfield Drive area around 8 p.m. Sunday.

In a news release on Tuesday, police said officers checked a vehicle and arrested a 24-year-old man for firearms and drug-related offences.

Julian Horton Noftall appeared in court on Monday to face 11 charges, including:

  • two counts of possession of a controlled substance;
  • two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle;
  • two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm;
  • one count of unlawfully possessing a prohibited firearm;
  • one count of unlawful possession of a prohibited device; and
  • one count of manufacturing a prohibited weapon.

Noftall was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on Thursday for a bail hearing
