A teenager has been charged by city police for driving while intoxicated.

Sunday evening police attended a single-vehicle collision near George Burke Park.

Officers learned that the SUV driver lost control of their vehicle while exiting the park from the parking lot and struck several large trees.

While speaking with the motorist, police suspected that alcohol may have been a factor in the incident and conducted a roadside test which the motorist failed.

The 19 year old woman was subsequently taken into custody and has been charged accordingly.
