Thunder Bay Community Foundation (TBCF) helped our community by dolling out 61 grants in 2022 to the tune of $302,178.

There were 32 organizations that benefitted from the grants including Boys & Girls Club of Thunder Bay for their Inflatable Fun Program, St. John Ambulance’s Therapy Dog Unit Program, Confederation College, PRIDE Mental Health Workshops and others.

To the surprise of the Foundation, they received an $800,000 donation that was made anonymously. This donation is the largest non-legacy give that the TBCF has ever received.

This will contribute to the over $1.5M that has been given to the TBCF in 2022.

Over the course of 51 years, the Foundation has supported a vast variety of charities that help community members by distributing over $7M in grants, scholarships and bursaries.
