Kenora MP: Cost Of Living Priority Over Break

By Mike Ebbeling Dec 12, 2022 | 8:33 AM

This is the final week of business in Parliament as MP’s are preparing for their holiday break.

Kenora representative Eric Melillo believes the House will adjourn Wednesday or Thursday.

He is anticipating a very quiet week with no pressing business but notes with this government you never know.

Melillo believes this session has been a very good one for the Conservatives and their new leader.

He says his party won’t rest over the break and will continue to push for action to deal with the high cost of living, noting 1 in 7 families in Northwestern Ontario are struggling to put food on the table.

Melillo says his party will continue to advocate for lower taxes, scrapping the carbon tax and reign in government spending.
