Two people were taken to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Mounties issued an Alert Ready message around 10:45 a.m., saying the “armed and dangerous” suspects were last seen in the Oromocto area in a blue Honda Civic.

At around 12:15 p.m., police said they located the vehicle off Route 2 in the Longs Creek area, southwest of Fredericton, and arrested a 22-year-old man at the scene.

Blake Holt faces eight charges in connection with the incident, including:

  • Flight from police
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a restricted firearm
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Theft under $5000
  • Possession of a firearm
  • Failure to comply with a release order

Mounties say a 41-year-old man was arrested in Fredericton on Tuesday, Dec. 6, in connection with the investigation.
