Lots of chances to give back on Saturday in Barrington.

Barrington RCMP, the Island and Barrington Passage Fire Department and EHS are holding their annual toy and food drive.

Constable Yan Prince with Barrington RCMP discussed the donations they’ll be accepting.

“Any toys rated all ages for kids and any cash donations made out to the RCMP,” says Prince. “The proceeds will go to the high schools and the toys will go back to the community.”

Donations will be collected on Saturday at No Frills from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and at Sobey’s from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Meanwhile the Stuff the Cruiser Holiday Toy Drive will take place at Wilson’s Home Hardware from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Prince shared a message for the community.

“Just to come and share their toys and share their stories,” says Prince. “We’ll have multiple members waiting for them to come and we’ll greet them and wish a Merry Christmas to everybody.”
