Caring For Your Christmas Tree

By Tara Clow Dec 7, 2022 | 9:17 AM

With over two weeks left until Christmas, families will want to make sure their freshly cut tree stays green.

Chuck Secord of Yuletide Tree Farm says there’s one important step when you first get it home, give it lots of water, “Pretty much every day, especially at the very beginning. They usually take a lot of water during the first few days. Once it goes dry, it won’t draw water as well. That is the biggest concern with a freshly cut tree. It’s important to make sure there’s lots of water in the stand.”

You should also ensure your tree is kept away from any heat sources.

If it does dry out, there’s a risk a fire could start.
