Salvation Army Seeking Christmas Kettle Donations

By Kevin Northup Dec 6, 2022 | 12:16 PM

The Salvation Army in Yarmouth could use your help.

If you’ve been out shopping, you’ve noticed their Christmas Kettle campaign is on.

Major Wilson Sutton says donations are down about 15 percent compared to last year.

“I think it’s the economy and inflation. People are a little more reserved and holding onto their cash because the future is uncertain,” says Major Sutton.

He says they have five kettles out in the community, including two at the Yarmouth Mall.

Sutton says the ‘Tip Tap’ option is available, where you can use your credit or debit card to make a donation.

The campaign runs until December 23rd, and helps families in need during the holidays.

“All money raised in the Tri-Counties assists those in need in this area at Christmas, and all year-round.”
