Canada Post Holiday Deadlines

By Evan Taylor Dec 5, 2022 | 11:31 AM

Canada Post has released it’s various shipping deadlines for this Holiday season to ensure any gifts you might be shipping arrive on time.

The first deadline is for mail being sent to the North Pole, which needs to be in by December 9 in order to get a reply.

For standard-fare parcels traveling across Canada, they need to be in the mail sometime between December 9-19, for parcels being shipped within your region you have until December 20, and locally the deadline is December 22.

For non-US international parcels and mail, the deadlines vary based on each country, but most are in the second week of December. Full details on particular locations can be found on Canada Post’s website.

Standard fare US parcels (with tracking) need to be in the mail by December 12.

Letters and postcards being sent across Canada need to be in the mail no later than December 16, the regional deadline is December 19, and the local deadline is December 20.

If you’re willing to pay a premium Canada Post and other delivery operators offer expedited services that give you more time, however, this year with Christmas falling on a Sunday most final deadlines for express service will be on December 22.
