Provincial Police say a 52-year-old Thunder Bay man is dead following a two vehicle crash on Highway 102 west of Silver Falls Road.

The collision involving a snowplow and a transport happened on Friday night around 9:55.

OPP, Superior North EMS, Kaministiquia Fire Department and the Coroner attended the scene.

The name of the snowplow driver killed in the crash has not been released.

Next of kin have been notified.

The driver and passenger of the tractor trailer were not injured.

The cause is under investigation but OPP say the snowplow was westbound and actively plowing snow when it struck an eastbound tractor-trailer unit.
