There’s going to be an increased RCMP presence on the roads tomorrow.

They’ll be increasing patrols and sobriety checkpoints for National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day.

The RCMP say impaired driving can be prevented by choosing a designated driver or calling a cab.

They’re also reminding those reporting impaired driving to call 911 and be ready with a location and description of the vehicle.

The RCMP say between 100 and 200 motorists are charged with impaired driving each month in Nova Scotia.
