Winter Parking Bans In Place For Dieppe & Riverview

By Allan Dearing Dec 1, 2022 | 7:48 AM

While Moncton is launching a pilot project this season, Dieppe and Riverview still have winter overnight parking bans which begin tonight.

From December 1 until the end of winter, the City of Dieppe (ends March 31) and the Town of Riverview (ends April 1) do not allow on-street parking between midnight and 7 a.m.

Otherwise, drivers risk having their vehicles ticketed or towed.

The blanket ban has been in place to help the communities with snow removal.

Moncton had followed a similar ban but is trying something different this season.

Divided up into three zones, the City will allow on-street parking overnight this winter pending incoming storms or necessary snow and ice removal efforts.

The City will make a decision on that particular day and will inform the public of a parking ban by 4 p.m. via social media channels, radio or the Moncton Alerts system.

More details of the pilot project can be found HERE.
