The City of Kenora has decided to close a section of Coker Road until further notice.
The area is the the east of Kelly Road, which was closed this summer due to flooding and again this fall.
During the flooding, this section of road was submerged, and the city managed to build it up when the floodwater receded.
However, city staff are concerned the stability of the road has been impacted resulting in the emergency closure.
A geotechnical firm will be looking at solutions to stabilize that section of Coker Road.
The city says while no properties are affected by the closure it does result in some inconvenience.
