If you go to Dal, expect to keep your mask handy.

The university is extending its mask requirement through the winter term.

That means they will need to be worn in instructional spaces and classes.

“By doing so, you not only limit the risks of COVID-19 and influenza transmission on campus but ensure our learning spaces can be safer and more comfortable for those who may be immunocompromised or live with those who are,” explains Frank Harvey, Provost and Vice-President Academic. “We also want to take this opportunity, ahead of the exam period, to remind our Dal community that mask requirements for instructional spaces extend to exams — please make sure to bring your mask to your exams this December.”

Dal is hoping it will limit the spread of COVID and the flu.
