Six More COVID Deaths Reported In N.B.

The province reported six deaths attributed to COVID-19 in the last week.

It also said the number of active hospitalizations increased from 32 to 38 patients.

PCR tests confirmed 596 new cases over the last week, while 371 positive rapid tests were reported.

People between the ages of 70 and 89 account for the largest number of hospitalizations.

Data from COVIDWATCH covers the period from Sunday, November 20th to Saturday, November 26th.

Nationally, there has been a decrease in COVID hospitalizations and deaths.

Cases in Maine have been decreasing and around the world, the numbers remained relatively stable with around 2.3 million cases last week.

Meanwhile, Horizon Health reported 64 active hospitalizations due to COVID-19, including eight people in the ICU.

Horizon reported Zone 2 had the highest number of active admissions per area with 26 patients on Saturday, November 26th.

The second highest was Zone 1 with 14, followed by Zone 3 with 13 and Zone 4 with 11 patients.

There are 16 COVID patients in Vitalité Health Network facilities, including one in intensive care.

Vitalité reported 56 workers off the job due to COVID-19 while Horizon had 92 staff absences after a positive PCR or rapid test.
